"DFC was surprised the industry still showed growth in 2012 with the decline of large subscription MMOs, heavy attention being paid to the impact of mobile games, and the struggle of many social network games," I
don't know what they're surprised about. We saw a decline of subscription MMOs
because many of those MMOs of the last year released without having enough
content to justify a subscription. They had to adopt Free to Play or die. They
certainly didn't do it to help the player. The industry making money doesn't necessarily mean that we'll be getting better MMOs. It just means that the companies are making money. It seems strange that while the industry keeps improving in market share, that our MMOs are starting stagnate in their game mechanics and companies are more prone to fire their MMO developers after the title ships. That doesn't bode well for Gw2 gold gamers that want MMOs to get out of the rut they're in. It reinforces the industry to rubber stamp similar designs. Do we really want the entire MMO industry to adopt EA's way of doing business? for more on guild wars 2 gold in http://ruralsdoaa.skyrock.com | |
